Premise licence Premises selling or supplying alcohol, providing entertainment or providing hot food must have a premises licence. Club premises certificates Sports and social clubs where alcohol or entertainment are provided require a club premises certificate. Personal licence A personal licence permits an individual to sell or supply alcohol at premises for which a premises licence or temporary event notice is in force. Temporary event notice Temporary Event Notices (TENs) can be used for relatively small-scale one-off or occasional events where you intend to sell or supply alcohol at any time, provide regulated entertainment at any time or provide hot food or drink between 11pm and 5am. Responsible authorities When you apply for an alcohol and entertainments licence, you must several responsible authorities within 7 days of applying. Sex establishment licence If you want to run a sex establishment in Barking and Dagenham, you will need to be licensed by us. Register of licensed premises and club premises As the Licensing Authority, Barking and Dagenham council is required to maintain a public register of all premises in the borough issued a licence under the Licensing Act 2003.
