Barking and Dagenham Remembrance Day

Barking and Dagenham will remember all those who died in the line of duty, making the ultimate sacrifice for the freedoms we enjoy today, with a number of memorial services taking place across the borough.

Friday 10 November 10:45am The Dagenham Branch of the Royal Naval Association will be holding a Memorial Service with local school children at the Cross Keys War Memorial in Dagenham
Friday 10 November 10:45am A Remembrance Service followed by wreath laying will be held at the Job Drain Memorial outside the Broadway Theatre. Small annual service.
Saturday 11 November 10:30am The Dagenham Branch of the Royal Naval Association will be laying wreaths followed by a short service at the War Memorial on the corner of the Heathway and Church Elm Lane
Sunday 12 November 10am Wreaths will be laid at the War Memorial in Barking Park at 10am (Attendees are requested to arrive by 9.45am)
Sunday 12 November 10:20am Barking and Dagenham Council Remembrance Parade – This will leave Barking Park at 10.20am and will walk through Barking Town Centre to arrive at St. Margaret’s Church for a service at 10.50am, with a 2-minute silence at 11.00am. (Guests who do not want to participate in the parade from Barking Park are requested to join at the Church at 10.45am)
Sunday 12 November 10:50am Remembrance Service at St. Margaret’s Church.
Sunday 12 November 11.40am After the Church service refreshments will be served in the hall at St Margaret’s Church.

Dagenham Parish Church Remembrance Service will take place at the Parish Church on Church Lane at 10.50am. A two-minute silence will be held at the church at 11.00am. 

Please note that the Dagenham Parade will NOT take place this year.

Sunday 12 November 3pm A small parade and service will be held at Becontree Royal British Legion The parade will assemble at 2.15pm at Grafton School and will leave at 2.40pm. The parade will make its way from the school to the Royal British Legion Chadwell Heath, 541 Becontree Avenue, Dagenham. Refreshments will be served afterwards.
