Evenings and weekends, 52 weeks a year, we are the place for 8-19-year-olds and up to 25 years old with additional needs in East London to make friends, try new things and start their fantastic future now. Future is so much more than a youth club. Within our £6.15million home, you’ll find a dedicated team of youth workers who are committed to helping young people discover their passion and purpose and to supporting them through the challenges young people face today.
It’s the little things that make a difference: the hot meal, a chat with a youth worker that understands what a rough day at school is like, the right words that give a young person the confidence to move from the sideline to the starting line in basketball. And it is not just shooting hoops or dance groups. Every session offers members more than 20 activities to explore and discover, to create their own Future: from boxing to beatboxing, cooking to climbing and nail art to fine art. All this costs £5 for an annual membership and 50p per visit.
Future belongs to the young people of Barking & Dagenham who have been involved in our development from day one. We are inspiring – and being inspired by – members every week of the year: their voices inform everything we do and challenge us to For Future to inspire young people to lead healthier, more positive lives, raising their aspirations to become happy, caring and responsible citizens with more to offer themselves, their families, the community and employers.
