Granicus email newsletters provide information and updates on a range of council services – they offer the latest borough news and events, service information, competitions, ticket giveaways, job vacancies and more.
Residents can subscribe to a range of topics based on the information they would like to receive.
The council is a local authority providing a broad range of local government services, including Council Tax billing, social services, processing planning applications, waste collection etc.
The council is a registered data controller with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), registration number Z7517364.
The following information informs you about what we do with your information when you subscribe to Granicus newsletters.
We collect your personal information when you opt in to receive Granicus newsletters.
When you opt in to receive Granicus newsletters, we collect your email address.
To process your information, we require a lawful basis to collect it. The lawful basis the council relies on is Article 6.1(a) Consent, of the UK General Data Protection Regulations.
If you no longer wish to receive Granicus newsletters, you can click on the ‘Manage subscriptions’ button at the bottom of any Granicus newsletter to manage your subscriptions or click on ‘Unsubscribe All’ to no longer receive any emails.
The council endeavours to ensure that the services we provide comply with all data protection legislation, for example, the UK General Data Protection Regulations (UK GDPR), and the Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA 2018).
