Make a change to your tenancy

 

Change of name (e.g. for marriage/divorce, deed poll name change, or if a name has been spelled incorrectly)

You may need to change your name on your tenancy, for example, if you have changed your name by deed poll or because you have recently married and taken your partners name.



You need to provide a coloured scanned copy or photo of your proof documents before we can make a change to your tenancy.

Add partner/spouse to tenancy

A joint tenancy is when two or more adults (aged 18 or over) are named on the tenancy agreement. Joint tenants have equal rights and responsibilities under the tenancy agreement for the whole of the tenancy.

We must carry out a visit before adding anyone to the tenancy. This will be arranged shortly after submitting your request.

Have you lived with your partner or spouse at the property for at least 12 months?
You can't add a partner/spouse if you haven't lived together at the property for 12 months. Return to the Change or end your tenancy page for more information.
Has your rent account been in arrears in the last 6 months?
You can't add a partner/spouse if your account has been in arrears in the last 6 months. Return to the Change or end your tenancy page for more information.

Add a child or household member

Adding a household member does not add them to the tenancy. This also does not make you eligible for a larger property.

Remove household member(s)

Removing a household member does not remove them as a named person on the tenancy. 

To remove a tenant you need to change from joint to sole tenancy.
