Reside is a housing company, wholly owned by Barking and Dagenham Council.
Owning a housing company means that the council can develop and provide affordable housing for rent.
Reside properties are rented out to people who are in employment, but can’t afford to buy or rent privately and have limited access to social housing. Properties are let at 65% to 80% of the market rate.
We are pioneering this new form of affordable housing, providing homes for working people on lower wages, to ensure that no one is left behind in the borough’s regeneration programme.
Visit Reside’s website for more information and registration. Select ‘Property search’ to see details of properties available in the borough. Click ‘Registration’ to complete an online application. We particularly welcome applications from key workers such as teachers and social workers. Current properties include one and two-bedroom apartments in Weavers Quarter, available for immediate occupation. These apartments come with brand new white goods, carpets throughout, and their own private balcony, and are just five minutes from Barking Town Centre.
