Prices and sizes

There are 16 allotment sites in the borough amounting to approximately 40 acres in total.

• a 10-rod plot (90 x 30 feet/27.5 x 9 metres) costs approximately £30 to £50 per year
• a 5-rod plot (45 x 30 feet/13.75 x 9 metres) costs approximately £15 to £25

Prices vary depending on the site and available water supply.

Allotment sites in the borough are administered on our behalf by a number of allotment societies. If you are interested in renting an allotment and want to know if a plot is available, contact your nearest allotment site  representative.

Barking Park, Barking

The allotment is managed by Barking Allotments Society.

If you live within the IG11 postcode area and are interested in renting an allotment, please visit the site between 10am and 12pm on Sundays to speak with a committee representative. 

Bushway, Dagenham

The allotment is managed by the Becontree Horticultural and Allotment Association.
