Made in Dagenham film studios

Information on the film studios launching in Dagenham

It’s the Reel Deal! We’re so pleased to reveal the operator of our Made in Dagenham film studios – and who better to announce the exciting news than the one and only Idris Elba.

During our virtual event, we revealed we’ll be working with the fantastic operator Hackman Capital Partners (HPC), to bring what’s set to be the capital’s largest studio campus to life.

The Los Angeles real estate investors, HPC, own the studios where the likes of the Sopranos, Sex and the City and 30 Rock were recorded, and have shared their ambitious plans for the studios which boast up to 12 sound stages, three acres of backlot, offices and more!

A huge thank you to everyone who sent in your questions relating to the film studios. During our live reveal, our exclusive panel were on hand to answer some of your questions. Amongst the panel were Cllr Darren Rodwell, Leader of Barking and Dagenham Council, the Sadiq Khan, Mayor of London, and our brilliant new partners Michael Hackman, CEO Hackman Capital Partners and Jason Hariton, Chief Real Estate Officer, The MBS Group.

The studios offer a beacon of hope to the borough in these difficult times, and will not only bring in over 1,200 jobs and opportunities for local people, but is also set to inject £35m per year to the local economy.
