Use the library catalogue online, reserve and renew items
If you've joined our library service online, or already have a library card, you can search the library catalogue and reserve items online for free. This includes items from any library within the London Libraries Consortium and pick it up at your local library.
If the title is not available on the catalogue we may still be able to get it for you. Anyone aged 16 and over will be charged £3.40 per item for reserving items not on the catalogue. There is a charge of £14.50 for applying to the British Library for an item.
You will need to log into the online account you created when you became a library member.
If you are using the 'Barking and Dagenham Library app' this will no longer work. You will you need to download the new 'London Libraries Consortium app' for your device.

If you would like to keep any borrowed items for longer than the original loan period you can renew the loan and avoid overdue charges. You will not be able to renew a borrowed item if it has been reserved by another customer.
