Barking and Dagenham residents invited to talk about community safety concerns

Barking and Dagenham residents are being invited to a public meeting to talk about their concerns on a range of community safety issues.

The next Barking and Dagenham Safer Neighbourhood Board meeting will take place on Thursday 14 March at the Dagenham and Redbridge Football Club from 6.30pm.

Stephen Thompson, Chair of the Barking and Dagenham Safer Neighbourhood Board said: “This is a public open meeting and residents are welcome to discuss any issues they may have from knife crime to burglary and any other anti-social behaviour.

“There will be officers from the Metropolitan Police service alongside colleagues from the council and other partner agencies.”

Councillor Margaret Mullane, Cabinet Member for Enforcement and Community Safety said: “Concerns about crime and people feeling safe in their homes and community is an issue we all feel passionate about.

“We all have a role to play, whether it’s the police or council – we all need to come together to address the concerns. I look forward to seeing as many residents on the day.”
