Residents of Barking and Dagenham who have concerns about managing money or are worried about getting into arrears with their rent will now be able to access help and advice from Dagenham Library.
From Monday 13 May, the Home and Money Hub service will open in the Heathway Library - the second in the borough after one opened in Barking Library just over a year ago.
Cllr Sade Bright, Cabinet Member for Employment, Skills and Aspiration, said: “I have witnessed first-hand the work done by the staff in this service. So far, they have helped over 2,300 residents to find a solution to any money problems they may have.
“Whether its help with dealing with rent arrears, concerns with gas and electricity bills or just help and advice with managing your finances then feel free to pop in and speak to our staff – we are here to help.”
Residents can now visit either the hub at Barking Library, or from Monday 13 May, the Dagenham Library hub. For further information, visit our help with debt page.
