Residents of Barking and Dagenham who are interested in a career in health and social care are being invited to attend an online careers fair in September.

The event, which will give participants access to a number of employers and live vacancies will take place on Thursday 17 September, from 10am to 11am and will be done using Microsoft Teams, so access to a computer is essential.

Councillor Sade Bright, Cabinet Member for Employment, Skills and Aspiration, said: “Despite the pandemic, we are doing everything to get residents into work and ensure they have the necessary skills and opportunities to make them do exactly that.

“Whatever jobs, careers or training opportunities residents are interested in, they can get in touch with staff from our Job Shops or at the Adult College who will be able to help them with their CVs, interview skills, job searches, training or put them in touch with employers and match them with vacancies.

“I hope as many interested residents take advantage of this online event.”
