Residents of Barking and Dagenham who are interested in finding a job, apprenticeship or training opportunities in the construction industry can find out more at a Construction Job Fair which takes place at the Barking Learning Centre on Thursday 6 February.

The event has been put together by the Council’s Job Shop, the Adult College and Job Centre Plus will be attended by organisations including construction companies, training providers, recruitment companies and local colleges.

Councillor Sade Bright, Cabinet Member for Employment, Skills and Aspiration, said: “The Construction Job Fair is an opportunity for local people to get training, apprenticeship and job opportunities in the trade.

“I will urge as many of our residents to take time out to attend and hope to see you all there.” 

The Construction Job Fair takes place on Thursday 6 February 2020, from 11am – 2pm at the Barking Learning Centre (Conference Room) 2 Town Square, Barking, IG11 7NB.
