Havering Council in partnership with Barking and Dagenham and Redbridge is hosting a special tri-borough 'Meet the Buyer' event for local businesses at CEME.
The event which takes place on Tuesday 21 June, is open to local contractors, tradespeople and other local suppliers or service businesses looking to bid for public sector contracts in Havering, Barking and Dagenham, and Redbridge.
It is an opportunity for suppliers to introduce themselves to public sector buyers and private sector contractors, to learn about new projects and opportunities.
Attendees will be presented live contracts and be informed about potential future opportunities.
The event will also feature representatives from the North-East London NHS Foundation Trust, and other NHS partners.
Cllr Sade Bright, Cabinet Member for Employment, Skills and Aspiration, said: “This is a great opportunity for local businesses to get time with buyers across north-east London, giving them the chance to expand their business and work with public sector organisations.
“In our determination to bring growth to the borough, we want to ensure that our residents and local businesses are carried along and this is one of the opportunities we are creating for local businesses to reap the benefits.”
There will also be free workshops throughout the morning on tender-readiness, social value delivery, climate change and sustainability, and the London living wage, provided by East London Business Place and other contributors.
The event takes place on Tuesday 21 June from 8am to 1pm at CEME Campus, Marsh Way, Rainham, RM13 8EU.
