Dagenham Park Church of England School have been shortlisted for the prestigious Tes Schools Awards 2023, with a nomination for the Inclusive School of the Year Award.
The winners of the 15th edition of the Tes Schools Awards will be chosen by a panel of judges, including school leaders, researchers and experts, and will be announced at a gala ceremony at London’s Grosvenor Park Hotel on Friday 23 June.
These awards recognise the most outstanding teachers and schools in the country, and it’s not the first time that Dagenham Park School have been acknowledged. The school won the English Team of the Year award in 2017 and was shortlisted for the Creative School of the Year award in 2018.
Chris Ash, Headteacher at Dagenham Park School, said: "We are really proud that our inclusive practice at Dagenham Park Church of England School has been recognised nationally. Inclusion is central to our school ethos and the nomination is in recognition of the hard work and dedication of our staff."
Councillor Elizabeth Kangethe, Cabinet Member for Education Attainment and School Improvement, added: “I am very proud to see one of our schools named in these respected awards, and particularly glad that we have a nomination for the Inclusive School of the Year award.
