Our Holiday Activity and Food (HAF) Programme has returned, boasting its biggest programme yet, offering over 40 different activities for children and young people (aged 5-16) to get involved in.
The activities are free to children and young people who live or go to school in Barking and Dagenham and are eligible for free school meals, with paid places being available to everyone.
We have a range of organizations providing fun, enriching, and healthy activities across Barking and Dagenham. Each activity includes a nutritious hot meal, keeps children active, and offers opportunities for making friends and having fun.
Activities range from, but are not limited to:
- Sports (boxing, football, basketball etc)
- DJing
- Arts & Crafts
- Cooking (and healthy eating!)
- Dance and theatre
- Exploring the wild
Cllr Elizabeth Kangethe, Cabinet Member for Educational Attainment & School Improvement, said: “We are thrilled to offer such an extensive activity programme this summer. It's amazing to see children engaging in free, educational, and exciting activities throughout the holidays. I urge every parent and guardian to seize this opportunity and book a place before it’s too late”

Booking is essential on all activities so book early to avoid disappointment.
