In its continued efforts to engage with the community around local issues, Barking and Dagenham Council is encouraging residents to attend next month’s Safer Neighbourhood Board meeting.
Taking place on Thursday 6 March, 7pm to 9pm at Dagenham and Redbridge Football Club, residents will be able to:
- Find out about crime in the local area
- What is being done to reduce crime
- Speak to their local police teams
- Find out what opportunities and services are available
Residents will also be able to find out how they can become a member of the Safer Neighbourhood Board and/or get involved with Neighbourhood Watch.
The Safer Neighbourhood Board works in partnership with the Police and the council’s Community Safety Partnership to promote and improve community safety across the borough.
Councillor Syed Ghani, Cabinet Member for Enforcement and Community Safety said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for residents to engage with the Police and community leaders. By coming together, we can work towards creating a safer and more secure environment for everyone.
“I urge all residents to attend and have their questions answered.”
If residents would like to attend, they should RSVP by following this link. If they have any questions for the Board, these will be considered for the Q&A session but need to be submitted in advance by emailing csp@lbbd.gov.uk.
There will also be free refreshments for all that attend.
