Rubina Siddique has been elected as a Councillor for Whalebone Ward, following the by-election that took place on Thursday 20 February.
The by-election was called following the passing of Councillor Glenda Paddle in November year. Councillor Paddle had served Whalebone ward for six years.
Rubina Siddiqui, of the Labour Party, received a total of 625 votes, followed by Angelica Olawepo, of the Conservative Party, who received a total of 287 votes.
Tope Olawoyin, of the Green Party, received 117 votes and Herbert Munangatire, of the Liberal Democrats, received 109 votes.
The Turnout was 12.33%.
