How to use your Blue Badge and what to do if it gets lost

Your Blue Badge must be displayed on top of the dashboard of the vehicle.
The side showing the wheelchair symbol must face forward so the expiry date can be seen from outside the vehicle.
If your badge has been lost or stolen, you can ask to replace this badge online:
Replace a lost, stolen or damaged Blue Badge
Replacement badges cost £10.
The payment is non-refundable.
Using a badge after it has been cancelled is seen as a misuse of the system and a breach of the Blue Badge rules.
If your badge is found after you have reported it lost or stolen, you will not be able to use it.
It should be returned to the Mobility Team.
Your Blue Badge is the property of London Borough of Barking and Dagenham.

Misuse of a Blue Badge is a criminal offence, which can carry a fine of up to £1,000.
You can report misuse of a Blue Badge to the mobility team at ParkingInvestigationTeam@lbbd.gov.uk
If your name or address changes, then you will need to contact us via Mobility@lbbd.gov.uk and send proof of your change of name/address.
Changing vehicles stays the same. All replacement badges cost £10.
Send photocopied proof of your ID in your new name.
Send any official document sent to your new address such as a photocopy of a Council Tax or utility bill.
Blue Badges are issued to the applicant. You do not need to tell us of any changes to your vehicle.
If your badge is due to expire within the next three months you will need to submit a new application via the portal.
