Newly qualified teachers

Barking and Dagenham is a great place to start your teaching career with excellent opportunities for career progression within our schools. Through the focused work of the school improvement partnership (BDSIP), all NQTs receive support and mentoring throughout their induction year. You will have access to bespoke training and receive close guidance as you become better and better. Salary

We pay our NQTs the inner London weighting allowance which means you can expect to earn a minimum of £28,660 and even higher with the recent pay award, and with progression on the upper pay range your salary can reach £47,298. With promotion into leadership roles your salary will be even higher.
