Looking after someone A carer is someone who provides unpaid care for a friend or family member who due to illness, disability, a mental health problem or an addiction cannot cope without the carer’s support. Provider Quality and Improvement The Provider Quality and Improvement Team carry out monitoring visits, assessments, and checks of social care services in the borough. Carer's Survey If you are a carer in Barking and Dagenham you will have the opportunity to take part in the Adult Carers Survey. This survey is carried out every two years and is sent to every carer who has received a service over the past 12 months to 31 July 2023.
