If you are eligible for help from adult social care, you may need to pay for part or all of your care and support services.  Paying for adult social care services can seem complicated and confusing, but we try to make it as straightforward as we can. Find out how it works.

This section also tells you about organising your own care using a direct payment. A direct payment is an amount of money you receive from the council so that you can arrange your own care and support.  You may be required to put some of your own money towards the cost of your care, in addition to the direct payment.
